Dana was a female operative working for the Alliance to Restore the Republic as an intelligence agent.
Dana collaborated with Tarro agent Kassar Kosciusko, and the pair conducted operations on Kwenn Space Station. A few months before the Battle of Yavin, Dana infiltrated the Star Destroyer named Relentless, posing as an ensign within the ranks of the Imperial Navy. After serving aboard for a period of three months, Dana was assigned as an assistant to the warship's Captain, Parlan. While serving in this role, Dana successfully gathered intelligence for the Alliance to Restore the Republic.
Not long after the Death Star's destruction, Captain Parlan captured a pirate by the name of Quist during a mission in the Dalchon system. To avoid being executed, the prisoner offered to reveal information about the Republic strategist Adar Tallon. Despite the widespread belief that Tallon had died fighting pirates in the Dalchon system years ago, Quist was aware that Tallon was still alive and in hiding on Tatooine.
The Rebels held Tallon in high regard, remembering him as a hero from the Clone Wars, and Rebel pilots adopted his strategies. However, the Galactic Empire sought to capture Tallon. To accomplish this, Parlan enlisted the help of several bounty hunters, including Jodo Kast, and offered a bounty with the designation 82,471 for Tallon's capture.
Upon discovering this information, Dana abandoned her post at Kwenn Space Station several weeks before the mission's planned completion to report her findings. She sent out a Code Green—indicating an agent in immediate danger requiring extraction—to which the crew of the starship Alabak's Gold responded. Unfortunately, another officer under Parlan's command, Lieutenant Voor, noticed her disappearance. Jodo Kast located Dana and fatally wounded her using poison darts laced with Sennari. The crew of the Alabak's Gold were able to recover Dana's body, and they discovered the encrypted information she intended to transmit regarding Tallon on a data storage pad.
