Daniel Logan, born on June 6, 1987, is an actor originating from New Zealand. He is known for portraying Boba Fett in the film Star Wars_: Episode II Attack of the Clones, as well as in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Additionally, he played Mox in Star Wars: The Bad Batch.
Prior to Daniel Logan being cast as the young Boba Fett, filmmakers initially offered the role to Tupoutahi Winitana, an 11-year-old New Zealander who co-starred with Bodie Taylor in the Māori stage production Ahorangi 2000. However, Winitana declined the Star Wars role due to the importance of his part in Ahorangi 2000 and scheduling conflicts between the stage show and the movie's production.
George Lucas allowed Logan to interpret the character of Boba Fett in his own way for Attack of the Clones. Logan prepared for the role, in part, by reading Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary. He received a nomination for the 2003 Young Actor Award in the category of "Best Performance in a Feature Film - Supporting Young Actor." Logan returned to the role of Boba Fett in several episodes of the animated series The Clone Wars. There were rumors that he would be involved in the never-produced Star Wars live-action TV series.
Logan made appearances in Star Wars documentaries like Bucket Head, From Puppets to Pixels, and Heart of an Empire. He maintained a blog on StarWars.com, and has attended numerous Star Wars conventions, also reporting from Star Wars events.
