A collection of Dark Jedi and Sith found themselves in opposition to a group of Jedi following the crash of both sides on the world of Kesh after 6900 BBY. These opposing sides were responsible for immense devastation inflicted upon the planet and its indigenous people, the Keshiri. Recognizing the ramifications of what they had done—an era subsequently known as the Great Calamity—the members came to a mutual agreement of peace. Nevertheless, one individual from the dark side group dissented: the Sith Lord known as Remulus Dreypa. Consequently, his dark side allies imprisoned him within an oubliette. The two opposing groups then combined their forces to establish the Doomed, relocating to the polar region of Eshkrene to safeguard the Keshiri.
