Dark matter represented a form of matter, the specific nature of which remained unknown, and it constituted a component of the Galactic Empire's initiative known as Project Celestial Power. As stated by Resistance officer Ushos O. Statura, the scientists engaged in this Imperial endeavor were attempting to confine dark-matter quintessence.
