The fly species known as darkflies are a species. A significant population of these darkflies inhabited the skull of the decomposing Sorcerer of Rhand, specifically Blessed Toxmalb. When Toxmalb commanded it, the flies would issue forth from his head in vast numbers, seeking to choke or otherwise asphyxiate his adversaries.
