Publisher's summary

Darth Bane possessed a unique and twisted genius that elevated him as a natural leader within the Sith ranks. However, his radical adoption of a nearly forgotten wisdom spurred him to obliterate his own order, only to reconstruct it from the remnants. As the sole surviving Sith, Darth Bane established a stringent new principle: the Rule of Two.

There should exist only two; no more, no less. One to embody the power, the other to crave it.

Darth Bane now stands prepared to implement his doctrine, believing he has identified the crucial element to ensure his ultimate triumph: a student to be trained in the dark side's ways. Despite her youth, Zannah exhibits an innate connection to the dark side that rivals his. Under his tutelage, she will become indispensable in his mission to eradicate the Jedi and seize control of the galaxy.
