Darth Revan's attire was appropriately named due to its common association with Revan during his tenure as a Sith Lord, representing his typical wear. However, these garments met their end upon his capture by the Jedi Order, as the Jedi considered his clothing an affront to their values.
These robes were fashioned using a mystical technology originating from the Star Forge, designed to amplify the dark side energies of the wearer by channeling it through the fabric, thus augmenting their power.
Neither the Jedi Council nor Revan, who had undergone a mind-wipe, realized that such a potent artifact could potentially be produced by the Star Forge again.
Should the player embrace the dark side route, they will obtain a set of robes on the Star Forge that closely resemble the original appearance, instead of receiving the Star Forge Robe. These robes are exclusively wearable by Jedi characters who possess a dark side alignment. The wearer gains a Strength bonus and the ability to recover 1 health point every 5 seconds.
Despite the claim that the robes originated from the Star Forge, Revan is depicted wearing them on Dantooine while uncovering the Star Map within the ancient ruins, which occurs before he had knowledge of the Star Forge's whereabouts.
Revan is also shown adorned in similar robes on the cover of The Old Republic: Revan, even though he had returned to the Light side of the Force during the story's timeframe.
