Darth Vader #40 represents the fortieth installment in the Star Wars: Darth Vader canon comic book series from 2020. Greg Pak penned the story, while Raffaele Ienco and Federico Blee provided the illustrations; Marvel Comics released it on November 8, 2023.

As a preview, Raffaele Ienco, the artist, showcased line art from Vader issue 40. The manner Vader used to deflect Sidious's Force lightning led to fan theories about it being an instance of the Tutaminis Force ability. Ienco clarified that this wasn't his original intent, but didn't rule out the possibility of it being retroactively established as Tutaminis, citing his limited knowledge on the topic.
