Data screen unit


A data screen unit (DSU) represented a measurement of data storage capacity. It was predicated on the volume of data displayable on a typical datapad. The report by Arhul Hextrophon for Mon Mothma regarding the Alliance to Restore the Republic was 168,000 DSUs long. A person would require over 700 hours to completely read the report. This calculation assumed the reader maintained a pace of one screen read every 15 seconds. The Task Force on Alliance Security's report concerning significant threats to the Rebellion was 9,200 DSUs. The Companion2000 datapad could store five million DSUs.
