Datar system's sun
The planet Datar revolved around the sun of the Datar system, situated in the Inner Rim. Gan Basso, a Duros hyperspace pioneer, tragically died during the initial centuries of the Galactic Republic when his vessel collided with the star after a poorly calculated hyperspace jump. The Ghostlings, who were native to Datar, included references to their planet's sun in at least one of their lullabies.
Behind the scenes
The sun belonging to the Datar system's was initially referenced in Episode I Adventures 5: The Ghostling Children. This junior novel was authored by Dave Wolverton and saw publication on January 1, 2000.
