David Land

Dave Land served as the primary editor for the Star Wars comic books released by Dark Horse Comics for about half a decade.

The Real Life Tales Of Dave Land

In addition to his editorial work, David "Dave" Land both wrote and appeared in brief introductory comic strips featured in the majority of the Star Wars Tales issues he oversaw, as well as Boba Fett: Agent of Doom. Lucas Marangon, who also provided artwork for a number of stories within Star Wars Tales, was the primary penciller for these strips.

Within the continuity of these Tales, Boba Fett subjected him to carbonite encasement on two separate occasions: first, as a consequence of Land's attempt to remove Fett's helmet, and second, as retaliation for Fett's own carbonite imprisonment in Star Wars Infinities: The Empire Strikes Back (a story penned by Land). In the latter instance, Lando Calrissian repurposes Land's carbonite-frozen body as a desk. Land implores Fett to release him, arguing that "the Infinities Series is non-canon, and therefore never happened."
