Davon Gitta, a Human bounty hunter and mercenary, worked for the Desilijic Hutt clan.
Gitta was tasked by the Hutts in 27 BBY with apprehending Ree, a Twi'lek podracer connected to Kaeline Ungasan, a rival crime boss. Gitta's team for this task consisted of three Gamorreans.
The Hutts, employing a deceptive strategy, also engaged independent contractors to locate Ree, misleading them into thinking they were rescuing a runaway child for his parents. These well-intentioned individuals received a datapad containing Ree's pictures from the fabricated parents; this datapad also contained a tracking device, enabling Gitta to monitor their progress. Gitta's instructions were clear: once Ree was located, he was to seize Ree and eliminate the agents, whom the Hutts deemed a liability.
This character is featured in a role-playing game adventure. If the player characters manage to detect and disable the tracking device embedded in the datapad, Gitta and his enforcers will be unable to track them. However, this outcome is improbable: It is more likely that Gitta will tail the characters to Ando Prime, use intimidation tactics on mining supervisor Geon Justic after the characters' interaction with him, and subsequently engage them in a firefight with Ree in the Juaka Canyon.
