Gault's real motivation was to gain control of her possessions to pay off his obligations to Jabba. Despite its significant cost, the vehicle had a defective control stick, causing issues for Annileen's son, Jabe Calwell, while driving. Their acquaintance, Obi-Wan Kenobi, identified the control stick's malfunction, revealing to Annileen that the dealer had deceived them.
