Droid demolition units were a class of droid specifically built for destructive purposes. The Type II loadlifter droid series, a line of droids fraudulently advertised, were actually demolition droids that had been modified to function as binary loadlifters; therefore, they were susceptible to episodes of violence if not controlled with a restraining bolt. The Infiltrator demolition droid, which was utilized by the Confederacy of Independent Systems, was engineered to penetrate enemy installations and function as a bomb.
