Infiltrator demolition droids, also referred to as simply infiltrator droids or infiltrators, represented a transforming droid design manufactured by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during 21 BBY.

Droids designed for infiltration and demolition, known as infiltrator droids or infiltrators, were a demolition droid type that existed in at least two distinct models. One model, colored green, had a vertical head featuring two photoreceptors when in combat mode. An alternative model, colored orange, had a horizontal head with three photoreceptors when in combat mode. The central photoreceptor of the orange model could also function as a holoprojector.
Infiltrator demolition droids would disguise themselves as ordinary sweeper droids, recognizable to Republic officers, during the initial infiltration and "high security infiltration" stages of their missions. After these stages and upon infiltrating their target, they would transform into a heavily armed and armored combat mode. The final mode involved two droids combining to form a bomb for destroying their designated target.
Count Dooku instructed General Grievous to destroy a crucial central power distribution grid during the Clone Wars, prompting Grievous to task his engineers with creating a new demolition droid model. The engineers designed the droids to masquerade as commonplace sweeper droids. Ultimately, six covert infiltrator demolition droids were manufactured for the mission.
Dooku's motivation was to undermine the peace initiative and the efforts of peace-seeking senators within both the Republic Senate and Separatist Parliament. He also aimed to ensure the passage of the warmongering Republic financial reform bill, which would deregulate the InterGalactic Banking Clan, a financial institution relied upon by both sides. Grievous dispatched the six demolition droids, disguised as cleaning droids, to Coruscant. While the Senate debated the Banking Clan's deregulation, the droids infiltrated and destroyed a vital power generator hub, causing a section of the ecumenopolis to descend into darkness and chaos. The resulting fear expedited the passage of the banking deregulation bills into law.
In later years, during the Galactic Civil War between the Republic's successor, the Galactic Empire, and the Alliance to Restore the Republic, the latter reprogrammed several demolition droids. These modifications allowed them to ignore enemy turrets and directly attack Imperial structures with explosive charges. The Alliance also equipped their infiltrator droids with specialized armor plating to shield them from their own explosives. However, these modifications prevented the droids from transforming into their attack mode, rendering them vulnerable if deployed without support from additional rebel forces.
