The Desolation, a sterile and desolate area on the planet Caarimon, existed as a circular zone centered on the planet's north pole, extending outward for approximately 100 kilometers. Its origins trace back millennia prior to the Clone Wars, resulting from the toxic waste produced by the Caarites' metalworking practices, which extinguished all forms of life in the area.
