In the year 3 ABY, the forces of the Galactic Empire unleashed a devastating bombing campaign upon the city known as K'avor which was located on Shiva IV. Following this Destruction of K'avor, both Aron Peacebringer and Leia Organa observed the inferno engulfing the city, but ultimately retreated when Organa identified the presence of the Cherenkov effect in that location.
