The Devastation was a heavy cruiser of the Subjugator-class used by the Separatist forces, and it served as the sister ship to the Malevolence.
Unlike the Malevolence, this warship had a very different design. It was significantly bigger and featured a massive cannon at its front, encircled by three prominent, claw-shaped structures.
As the second ship of its class and sister to the infamous Malevolence, this vessel played a role in a battle involving the Dathomiri Nightsisters during the Clone Wars. Armed with two immense ion pulse cannons and a single, forward-mounted ion beam cannon that drew power from force crystals, it possessed the capability to obliterate smaller planets. Before it was fully operational, the warship ambushed and boarded the Republic vessel Sedawan, stealing its shipment of lightsaber crystals and taking Jedi Master Luminara Unduli prisoner.
Dathomir was initially planned as its first target, but Sai Sircu, a Nightsister, turned against the Separatists and redirected the ship towards Coruscant. Ultimately, the formidable warship met its end, being destroyed through the combined efforts of a Jedi strike team that consisted of Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Plo Koon, Ahsoka Tano, and Kit Fisto.
