Dol Captison was a senator of the male Human species. He held a position in the Bakuran Senate dating back to the time of the Galactic Republic.
He belonged to the powerful Captison family, and it is thought that he may have been a descendant (either a grandson or great-grandson) of Deredith Arden, the original founder of the planet's settlement. Yeorg, Dol's brother, also served as a senator in the Bakuran Senate. When Dol's daughter, Gaeriel, showed interest in a political career, Dol aided her in realizing her ambitions. It is likely that this assistance included using his influence to ensure Gaeriel's admission to the Bakur Senatorial Academy.
One year following his daughter's acceptance into the Academy, the Galactic Empire launched an invasion of Bakura. During this invasion, Dol and his wife met their demise in Salis D'aar, the capital of Bakura. They were ambushed while transporting confidential communications, resulting in their deaths. It was suspected that their deaths were unintentional, occurring as they were caught in the middle of a battle between Imperial and Bakuran troops.
