Dominance killing

The Yevethan people practiced dominance killing, a ritualized form of execution deeply embedded in their rigid societal structure. When a subordinate showed disrespect to a superior or was unsuccessful in a task, they would kneel, presenting their neck for sacrifice, which initiated a dominance killing. The superior would then make a decision: either to kill the nitakka utilizing their dew claws, or to spare their life despite the transgression. This custom was carried out frequently and without hesitation. In fact, sacrifice, especially when it provided blood for the birth cask of a significant Yevetha, was viewed as a source of pride for the family of the Yevetha who was killed.
