Drewe Henley

Drewe Henley (born sometime between 1940 and 1941, died February 14, 2016) was a British actor, notable for his role as Garven Dreis, also known as Red Leader, in the film Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. Posthumously, he was featured in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story via previously recorded material; the film was released approximately ten months following his passing.

A misspelling occurred in the closing credits of A New Hope, where Henley's name was erroneously listed as "Drewe Hemley." After his work on A New Hope, Henley's acting career was cut short due to a diagnosis of bipolar disorder. Subsequently, he and his wife established and managed a bed and breakfast in Devon, located in England.
