Duel on Pydyr

After arriving on Pydyr, Luke Skywalker inadvertently triggered the activation of explosives hidden in his T-65 X-wing starfighter, resulting in a crash landing and injuries. Seeking shelter, he discovered an unoccupied dwelling and used a Pydyrian healing stick to aid his recovery, unaware that Kueller was observing him.

Emerging from the house, Luke encountered Kueller and realized that the Dark Jedi was actually his former apprentice, Dolph. Kueller extended an invitation for Luke to join him, but the Jedi Master refused, initiating a lightsaber battle.

Kueller ignited his lightsaber and launched an attack on Luke. Luke responded by activating his own lightsaber and deflecting Kueller's initial strike. Luke focused on parrying and defending, patiently waiting for an opening to counterattack. Kueller forced Luke backward towards the house, causing the Jedi to stumble on his injured leg and fall to his knee. Kueller attempted to strike Luke's shoulder with his lightsaber, but Luke narrowly avoided the blow by rolling away, resulting in a burning sensation on his back as dirt from the road entered his wounds. Regaining his footing, Luke retaliated, singeing Kueller's cape. Luke maintained his position, but Kueller unleashed a series of five rapid thrusts that forced him to retreat. Skywalker's ankle gave way, but he managed to stay upright. Kueller advanced, disarming Luke by knocking his lightsaber from his grasp. Holding his lightsaber beneath Luke's chin, Kueller declared that while he considered killing him at that moment, he needed Luke as bait to attract his sister, Leia Organa Solo.

Kueller summoned some of his stormtroopers, and one of them injected Luke with a sedative to render him unconscious. Subsequently, they transported Luke to Almania, where he was imprisoned alongside a Thernbee.
