Dukha

A dukha schematic The dukha served as a communal structure for the Noghri. Its construction featured a cylindrical form, topped with a conical roof. The building's structure relied on pillars made from complete, polished tree trunks, arranged at equal intervals around its perimeter. These pillars, along with a metal band providing support beneath the eaves, showcased elaborate Noghri carvings.

Within a dukha, a solitary chamber existed, containing a throne situated approximately two-thirds of the way from the building's double doors to its rear. The clan maitrakh would sit in this location. Suspended from chains connected to each wall pillar, a concave dish hovered above the room's center, emitting a gentle light that illuminated the ceiling.

The Grand Dukha located in Nystao represented a larger iteration of this architectural style.
