Duriet was the spouse of Grondorn Muse, a musician who previously served in the Corellian militia, and her role was that of a wife. Due to the Galactic Empire placing her husband on a blacklist because his songs had political themes, both Duriet and Grondorn became members of the Alliance to Restore the Republic in the time leading up to the Battle of Yavin.
In the Special Edition Limited expansion set from November 1998 for Decipher's Star Wars Customizable Card Game, Duriet received a mention on the character card belonging to Grondorn Muse. Grondorn Muse's name is an anagram of the well-known singer Gordon Sumner, who is more popularly known as Sting, and similarly, Duriet's name is an anagram of the given name of Sting's wife, Trudie.
