During the era of the Galactic Civil War, Yesgar's pirates, who maintained a secret base on Antared III in the Esstran sector, were observed at Durollia's spaceport.
Star Wars Gamemaster Handbook, a 1993 sourcebook for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games, marked the initial appearance of Durollia. Within the game, this planet was referenced within a theoretical scenario, providing guidance to gamemasters on implementing diverse paper handouts during gameplay. Subsequently, the 2009 reference work The Essential Atlas situated the Durollia system within grid coordinate P-5. Jason Fry, a co-author of the book, has indicated that the star systems detailed in the Appendix of The Essential Atlas derive their names from the most significant planets or celestial objects within those systems. Consequently, this article recognizes Durollia as canonical within the Star Wars Legends timeline.
