Assault battle droids employed the E-60R missile launchers manufactured by Baktoid Armor Workshop as their anti-armor weaponry. These launchers, which could fire a single missile at a time, were supported by the droids carrying a reserve of six missiles each. The launcher was compatible with various types of warheads. Due to cost-cutting measures, surplus viewfinder scopes were used, requiring manual aiming by the droids. The rockets had the ability to home in on targets when fired at close range.
Following the Battle of Geonosis, where heavy vehicles of the Confederacy of Independent Systems were unable to halt the Republic's walkers, the Techno Union engineered this affordable yet potent missile launcher. Its purpose was to provide support to the tanks within the Droid Army. The E60 was deployed in numerous engagements throughout the Clone Wars.
