Echo Station 5-4 was situated near Echo Base on the ice planet Hoth; it was linked to the primary base via Tunnel 05-92. Not long before the Battle of Hoth commenced, Chase Wilsorr transported a substantial crate through the tunnel, ultimately arriving at Echo Station 5-4.
