Edgar was a Male officer of the Galactic Empire, a Human who existed during the era of the Galactic Civil War. Following the Battle of Yavin, he received a posting at the Imperial Outpost situated on the world of Talus.
Edgar's introduction to the Star Wars universe occurred in Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game launched in 2003. The video game was created by Sony Online Entertainment and distributed by LucasArts, before the game's servers were shut down on December 15, 2011.
The original intention was for Officer Edgar to serve as the Imperial contact for quests in the fifth and concluding part of the "Secrets of the Syren" storyline. This chapter was under development in October 2005, but its release was postponed and slated for introduction in April 2006 with "Publish 28." Both Officer Edgar and Dak Ralter, the Rebel quest provider, were included in the game with Publish 28, which went live on April 26, 2006. Despite this, the final chapter of "Secrets of the Syren" never saw the light of day, and consequently, these NPCs never offered any quests.
