Edward Kilham


Ed Kilham, also known as Edward Kilham, is a video game developer known for his contributions to titles like Star Wars: X-Wing and Star Wars: TIE Fighter.

Biography

While attending high school, Edward "Killer" Kilham began his journey by crafting video games and graphics systems for the Apple II personal computer. He then transitioned to the Amiga in 1985, where he developed The Calligrapher, a utility for editing color fonts. He pursued Computer Science at the University of Oregon, ultimately graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1990.

Even while at university, Kilham contributed to RoboSport for Maxis, and upon graduation, he became a part of LucasArts. He embarked on the development of a cinematic engine and officially joined Lawrence Holland's simulator team, which later evolved into Totally Games, in 1991, blending his cinematic sensibilities with Holland's simulator expertise. Together, they collaborated on Star Wars: X-Wing released in 1993, and its 1994 follow-up, Star Wars: TIE Fighter.
