The Eickarie were a reptilian alien species originating from the Unknown Regions, and they held allegiance to the Empire of the Hand. Their homeworld was the planet Kariek. Their physical characteristics included pale orange blood, skin displaying orange and green hues, and black scale patterns encircling their large eyes and extending across the backs of their heads. Their body structure was sufficiently similar to that of Humans, allowing them to wear standard stormtrooper armor.
Within the Eickarie language, the term shak translated to "ready." A cultural aspect of the Eickaries was their association of "left-handedness" with malevolence and dishonesty, while "right-handedness" symbolized goodness and truth. Prominent members of the Eickarie species included individuals such as Su-mil and Ha-ran.
Prior to 22 ABY, they existed as a collection of divided tribal groups, governed by an oppressive Warlord for a duration of 50 standard years. Despite widespread disapproval and resentment towards the Warlord among the general populace, he maintained his position of power due to the ongoing tribal disputes among the Eickarie people and the limited backing he received from local collaborators. Ultimately, the United Tribes of Kariek came into existence through the United Tribes Agreement with the purpose of challenging the Warlord's authority.
The Empire of the Hand secretly aided the United Tribes, playing a role in the Warlord's removal during the Battle of Kariek. Following the Warlord's defeat, the Eickaries intended to become part of the Empire of the Hand.
