Eiska existed as one of the four moons orbiting the planet Rodia. Rodia itself was part of the Tyrius system, which could be found within the Outer Rim Territories' Savareen sector. According to the Standard Galactic Grid, the moon's position was at grid square R-16.
The first mention of Eiska within the Star Wars canon occurred in the fifty-eighth issue of the magazine Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon, which was published by De Agostini around February 10, 2016. In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Eiska was initially referenced in Shadows of the Empire Planets Guide, a supplementary book for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games, released in September 1996.
