Electromagnetic torpedo

The electromagnetic torpedo served as the vessel for the most devastating weapon in the arsenal of Rokur Gepta.

Description

The torpedo housed a pale green, luminescent substance that proved fatal to every other life form then known. A mere cubic millimeter possessed the capacity to obliterate all life on a planet, in addition to the entire "organic substrate" necessary for future life to emerge. It was even capable of thriving in a vacuum.

History

Upon the conclusion of his academic pursuits, Gepta engineered the green fire with the intention of eradicating all other life on Tund. His goal was to ensure that no other being could ever uncover the secret to its creation. Subsequently, he established specialized force fields to shield specific regions of the planet from the green flames. Nevertheless, even within these protected zones, the re-emergence of life would necessitate billions of years. He employed analogous, albeit smaller-scale, force fields to safeguard himself during its handling.

During the Battle of ThonBoka, Gepta deployed an almost microscopic electromagnetic torpedo to annihilate a substantial force of the Oswaft. This action was intended to coerce Lando Calrissian into acquiescing to his demand for a duel. Unbeknownst to Calrissian, Gepta's flagship, the Wennis, was under orders to exterminate all life on ThonBoka, irrespective of the duel's outcome. However, Klyn Shanga and his Renatasians compatriots successfully destroyed the Wennis before it could execute its mission. Following the battle, the only known location of the deadly substance was the otherwise lifeless surface of Tund.

Behind the scenes

The precise name of the technique used to generate the torpedo's payload remains a mystery, but the substance itself was colloquially referred to as "green flames" or "green death." Only robust electromagnetic shielding proved capable of containing it.
