The Elin Roe system, found within the Colonies, was home to the terrestrial planet Elin Roe and at least five of its moons. During the Galactic Civil War, the Imperial Office of Customs' Guardian-class light cruiser, named the Interceptor, patrolled this star system under the command of Captain Hallyn Phlynne, conducting random inspections of starships.
Sometime shortly after the Battle of Yavin, while pursuing a bounty target on Elin Roe, the bounty hunter team known as the Yagaran Four engaged the dangerously enhanced hyperdrive on their YT-1300 light freighter. This starship subsequently exploded, killing the Yagaran Four and releasing a cloud of radioactive dust that engulfed Elin Roe's fifth moon.
This Elin Roe system was first presented in the "Smuggler's Log" series, a set of roleplaying source articles written by Peter Schweighofer for the Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. It was published by West End Games in the May 1994 second issue of their Star Wars Adventure Journal magazine. The 2009 reference work, The Essential Atlas, located the system at grid coordinates N-12.
