Within the Emperor's plague storehouse, we see Jaina and Jacen Solo, both Jedi in training, amidst numerous plague canisters. The Emperor's Plague was a plague created by Evir Derricote with mutagenic properties, engineered to kill only members of the Human species. Its lethality exceeded that of the Krytos virus, which caused the deaths of millions of aliens on the planet of Coruscant after the New Republic successfully captured Coruscant in the year 6 ABY. The plague was so terrifying that even Emperor Palpatine himself hesitated to use it as a weapon.
This plague was kept secure on an unmapped asteroid referred to as the Emperor's plague storehouse. In the year 24 ABY, Fonterrat, an information broker, managed to acquire a sample and subsequently sold it to Nolaa Tarkona. During the Battle of the Emperor's Plague Storehouse, a Jedi team, including Bornan Thul, successfully destroyed all of the canisters that contained the plague, as well as other plagues targeting specific alien species, thereby thwarting the Diversity Alliance's genocidal anti-human campaign.
