Fonterrat

Fonterrat was a scavenger. He belonged to an unidentified alien species that resembled rodent-like creatures. These beings had large eyes and ears, a pointed snout, and gray-brown fur that covered much of their bodies.

Biography

In the Deep Core, Fonterrat made a discovery: the Emperor's plague storehouse. This facility contained a massive collection of biological and chemical weapons developed by General Evir Derricote, including the Emperor's Plague, a deadly virus specifically designed to target Humans.

Subsequently, he sought to sell this information to Nolaa Tarkona, the leader of the Human-hating Diversity Alliance. However, Fonterrat declined to engage with her directly, suggesting that she dispatch a neutral party to meet him on Kuar. During negotiations, he also gave her a sample of the virus, which she used to ensure his payment. The neutral party turned out to be Bornan Thul, a shipping magnate and owner of Bornaryn Trading. Bornan paid with a time-locked case filled with credits in exchange for the navicomputer module containing the asteroid's coordinates.

Bornan was then tasked with delivering it to Nolaa at a trade conference on Shumavar, but after learning about the contents of the plague storehouse, he went into hiding. Later, Fonterrat traveled to Gammalin, a colony populated entirely by Humans, and unleashed the plague, wiping out the entire population. Before the plague fully took hold, the colonists captured and imprisoned Fonterrat. With no one left to care for him due to the plague's devastation, Fonterrat ultimately died of starvation in his cell.
