Endurance was a special bonus mission featured in both Rogue Leader and Rebel Strike. The core idea behind these missions was to survive for a set duration while defeating numerous enemies.
A bonus mission with a similar concept, though not called Endurance, titled "CHICKEN," was present in the original game. Set on Tatooine, the player controls an AT-ST, tasked with inflicting significant damage upon Imperial forces. It becomes available by entering the "CHICKEN" passcode.
The initial Endurance mission occurred on the Death Star II, requiring the player to eliminate successive waves of Imperial fighters, with a group of shuttles appearing every tenth wave. The ultimate confrontation is against Darth Vader piloting his Tie Advanced x1. The default craft for the player in this mission is a T-65B X-wing starfighter.
The second Endurance mission unfolded within the Death Star's hangar and involved on-foot combat. The player, as Luke Skywalker, had to battle a range of Imperial soldiers. The concluding foe of the level is Boba Fett. Should the player successfully complete the level either using the IGIVEUP cheat or without losing any lives, the announcer will declare the player "unstoppable."
Endurance represents a set of bonus missions within the Star Wars: Rogue Squadron video game franchise. The iteration found in Star Wars: Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader was integrated into the cooperative campaign of Star Wars: Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike.
