As a Corellian teenager, his criminal history began with the theft of a speeder bike for recreational purposes. Subsequently, in 43.5 ABY, he served as an assistant to Denjax Teppler, the Co-Chief of State of Corellia. While en route to the Senate Building, Holkin was unexpectedly attacked and rendered unconscious by Jedi Knight Valin Horn, who was experiencing a psychotic breakdown. Horn then stole Holkin's attire to gain entry to Level 2 of the Senate Building, a restricted zone for Horn but accessible to Holkin.
