Eppie Belden, born Eppie Antruse, a female Bakuran and a member of the Antruse family hailing from Bakura, became affiliated with the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War. She and her husband, Orn Belden, parented a son named Roviden Belden. After both Roviden and Eppie assisted the Rebellion, Imperial Governor Wilek Nereus gave the order for her son's execution and the destruction of her mind through a parasitic insect from the Jospro sector, which resulted in a condition similar to severe senility. Orn was also ultimately killed.
By the time of the Bakura Incident, Belden was 132 years of age. During this incident, Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker employed the Force to reverse her affliction. Utilizing her Bakuran underground connections along with her expertise as a slicer, she initiated the Bakuran Revolution and personally took Nereus into custody.
Born in 128 BBY, Eppie Antruse was a Bakuran female from Bakura and a member of the Antruse family. In 97 BBY, during the same year as a droid rebellion on Bakura, she married Senator Orn Belden, taking the name Eppie Belden. Sometime after, they had their only child, Roviden.
Eppie, along with her husband and son, expressed support for the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War. Bakura maintained independence and neutrality throughout the conflict until the Galactic Empire annexed it in 1 ABY. Roviden, who had become an agent of the Rebellion, was executed by order of Imperial Governor Wilek Nereus. Eppie, having also aided the Rebellion, was also slated for execution. Orn pleaded for her to be spared, and Nereus agreed to spare her life, but instead of killing her, Nereus destroyed her mind using a parasitic insect originating from the Jospro sector. Orn paid for this with the loss of his voice.
Eppie's condition, which resembled advanced senility, was considered incurable until the Invasion of Bakura, when Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker utilized the Force to reverse the damage. Upon awakening, she discovered that Nereus had murdered her husband and arrested Prime Minister Yeorg Captison. She then initiated the Bakuran Revolution, leveraging her contacts within the Bakuran underground and her abilities as a slicer.
Despite her advanced age, she personally apprehended Nereus. Like other revolutionaries, she advocated for his trial in a revolutionary tribunal. However, with the Imperial garrison's surrender and the subsequent release of Prime Minister Captison, the revolutionaries relinquished authority back to the Bakuran Senate and transferred Nereus into Skywalker's custody.
Her personality was described as "fiery," a trait that matched her hair color, and she was the first adult friend of Gaeriel Captison.
