Epsis (organization)

Epsis existed as a criminal syndicate with its base of operations in Point Nadir. Liash Keane, a female Ubese, was the leader. Their illicit activities included trafficking in prohibited technology, slicing, counterfeiting documents, and "ownership reallocations".

History

Liash Keane, technocrat and founder of Epsis.

The Ubese named Liash Keane established Epsis. Possessing a characteristic Ubese fascination with technology, Keane initially took on assignments like assassination, mercenary work, and similar ventures to finance her interests. Following a notably lucrative engagement, Keane decided to become an independent operator. Starting on Nar Shaddaa, she procured scarce and frequently unlawful technology for her clientele. As time passed, she gained significant recognition within her area of expertise, leading her to assemble a group of fellow thieves, technology enthusiasts, and like-minded individuals to form a formidable network leveraging their combined talents. Their influence grew to such an extent that several influential Hutt Kajidics presented her and her associates with a choice: integrate into the Hutt organization or face death. Keane refused both options, instead instructing her network to operate covertly, continuing their activities while evading detection under various aliases. Eventually, Keane established a permanent base in Point Nadir, marking the genesis of the Epsis organization as it exists today.
