During the era of the Galactic Civil War, as documented in Legends, a band of Wookiee slaves who had managed to escape sought refuge along the treacherous Rryatt Trail, a lengthy and twisting path that cut through the expansive forests of Kashyyyk.
These Wookiees discovered a haven on the High Grounds, which consisted of elevated, earth-covered rock structures that towered above the massive wroshyr trees. In this location, the Wookiees constructed a number of rudimentary shelters, providing them with a concealed existence, safe from both Trandoshan slavers and the forces of the Empire.
