The Etti light cruiser, a diminutive capital ship, was manufactured by the Corporate Sector Authority. It shared a common space frame with the Etti-class light transport.
Although it utilized the same fundamental structure, the redesigned Etti light cruiser boasted enhanced shields, weaponry, and propulsion systems. Consequently, it frequently served as a patrol craft or a "Q-ship"—a specially adapted vessel intended to attract and subsequently eliminate pirate ships.
One such cruiser was employed as a decoy, facilitating the boarding of the privateer vessel 'Band Light' by Imperial Terror Troopers.
The statistical information for the Etti-class cruiser closely mirrors that of the Etti Lighter, as presented in the Han Solo and the Corporate Sector Sourcebook, where it is mentioned that the latter is sometimes converted into a patrol ship.
Furthermore, a minor visual inconsistency appears in Tempest Feud. The illustration associated with the Etti light cruiser encounter actually depicts the Vengeance, a YV-260 light freighter. Given that the image lacks the cruiser's ten quad laser cannons (displaying an armament consistent with the Vengeance) and exhibits the characteristic blocky cockpit design of the YV-series, it is reasonable to conclude that the image was incorrectly placed within the sourcebook. This is especially true because the image is not directly linked to any specific information or stat block, existing merely as a standalone visual.
