An EVA Pod in the junkyard behind Watto's Shop
In the year 32 BBY, behind Watto's Shop in Mos Espa on the planet Tatooine, one could find a vehicle known as the EVA Pod. This pod, with an origin that remains a mystery, was previously used for maintenance and repairs.
The 1968 motion picture, 2001: A Space Odyssey, featured a prop that was then recreated as the EVA Pod. This prop bore a resemblance to designs for the FlexCraft proposed by N.A.S.A. around that time. Its inclusion in Watto's junkyard in The Phantom Menace served as a visual Easter egg.
