Ewoks served as the official soundtrack album for the movies Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure (1984) and Ewoks: The Battle for Endor (1985). Varése Sarabande and Lucasfilm Ltd. released the album on LP on December 8, 1986. Because of the constraints of LP length, only approximately thirty minutes of music from the two films was included. Peter Bernstein wrote the music for Caravan of Courage, which was conducted by Harry Rabinowitz; Bernstein both composed and conducted the music for The Battle for Endor.
Bernstein adapted "Parade of the Ewoks" from the original Return of the Jedi soundtrack by John Williams. This musical piece is briefly incorporated within both films. Jeff Moss penned the song "My Star", which Cindel Towani sings in Ewoks: The Battle For Endor. This song was excluded from the official album and has not been released.
