"My Star" represents a song that Catarine Towani frequently sang for Cindel, her daughter, when Cindel was a young child. After her mother's passing (see: death), Cindel then sang this very song to Noa Briqualon, who became her guardian. The song's words are:
My star, a constant friend, guides me in darkness. My star, a watchful protector, bathes my sleep in radiance. Though some things shift, certain lights remain eternally. Up above, brilliantly bright... my star.
Jeff Moss created the song "My Star" specifically for the 1985 television movie Ewoks: The Battle for Endor. Siân Phillips, a Welsh actress, performed the song in the film.
