Faliar, a terrestrial planet, resided in the Fondor system. Its location was specifically within the Freeworlds Territory of the Tapani sector, which itself was part of the Southern Core region of the Colonies. This planet, together with the other celestial bodies in its star system, was situated along the hyperspace route called the Gandeal-Fondor Hyperlane. Furthermore, a hyperlane provided a connection to the Sefon system. Orbiting the star Fondor, Faliar held the innermost orbital position and lacked any moons. The planet's environment was characterized by a hot climate.
The reference book The Essential Atlas, released in 2009 and written by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace, included a reference to Faliar, indicating its location as grid square L-13.
