Fe Tale, a Kessarine male, was born to Ferize, Er Dal, and Fel Ix. His birth year was 382 BBY, and a Naming ceremony marked his induction into the Path of the Open Hand cult, a group to which his parents belonged. In that same year, the Path compound on Dalna, their place of residence, was inundated with water. Fe Tale, along with Er Dal and two siblings, found themselves trapped underground, blocked by a rock, as Ferize attempted a rescue. Er Dal managed to hand Fe Tale through a small opening in the rock to Ferize. Ferize then departed to ensure Fe Tale's safety, while their friend Marda Ro, a Path member, and Kevmo Zink, a Jedi Padawan, successfully rescued Er Dal and the remaining two children who were also trapped.
