Fex-M3d was a type of toxic gas, classified as a poisonous substance. Upon inhalation, it would infiltrate the bloodstream of its victim, attaching to neuroreceptors and disrupting the transmission of nerve signals. Consequently, this interference led to suffocation as the diaphragm's ability to contract and expand was inhibited. However, creatures that did not rely on respiration, like the Lungless Gand, were immune to its effects. The Imperial forces utilized Fex-M3d as a security measure for their computer facilities located on Coruscant.
