Details
Fibercord was constructed from resilient materials like flexisteel, and it saw frequent use in grappling hooks along with other apparatuses for climbing. Furthermore, it was implemented with a lightsaber to bind a couple of lightsabers joined as a pair. It also served to tether a lightsaber to the user's armor or a gauntlet, hindering an adversary from seizing it or employing the Force to seize it telekinetically.
Background
Asajj Ventress made use of a fibercord for linking her pair of lightsabers. Both Jango Fett and Boba Fett possessed a fibercord whip within their wrist-mounted gauntlets.
