The internal database utilized by Lucas Licensing to monitor every fictional aspect conceived for the Star Wars mythos is known as the Holocron continuity database. Leland Chee is responsible for its upkeep. The very first article, entitled "Welcome to the Holocron!", was created on February 9, 2000; twenty-two years later, on February 16, 2022, the Holocron achieved a significant landmark: it contained 100,000 entries. One of the entries details the band Jefferson Starship, who made an appearance in The Star Wars Holiday Special.
Currently, there are no strategies in place to make any part of the Holocron accessible to the general population. Chee has stated one reason for this:
A rare look at the Holocron occurred during the "30 Years of Star Wars Publishing and Continuity" panel at Celebration IV. Chee reaffirmed at Celebration Anaheim in 2015 that Lucas Licensing will never reveal the Holocron to the public, as it contains information about upcoming projects.
