The initial expedition to the Yinchorri system took place in 33 BBY, amidst the events of the Yinchorri Uprising.
Following the dissemination of information regarding the Battle of Mayvitch 7 to the Galactic Senate, Supreme Chancellor Finis Valorum put in a request to Mace Windu that a Jedi contingent be dispatched to Yinchorr for the purpose of negotiation. Bypassing consultation with the Jedi Council, Windu deployed Jedi Knight Naeshahn accompanied by her Padawan, Ebor Taulk.
Neither Jedi possessed knowledge about the Yinchorri's resistance to mind tricks, their utilization of cortosis based armaments, or their inherent hostility. The Jedi met their death, and their disfigured remains were subsequently delivered to Valorum's residence on Coruscant.
